Holy Trinity Academy asks that all students and parents display Christian values by respecting themselves and others. It is our goal to educate the whole person in cooperation with home, Church, and community, in order to help foster the emotional and intellectual skills needed to become positive contributors to society.
We are here for students and parents looking for a safe and spiritually inspired alternative to public education. Our students are committed to keeping their minds and bodies pure temples to Jesus Christ and unpolluted by damaging substances such as drugs and alcohol. Also, our students and faculty are kind and compassionate to one another. Our older students learn to care for and shepherd the weaker and smaller ones among them.
All HTA students are required to attend Christian services on Friday mornings. We work with various ministers from local parishes to bring our students a holistic image of Christianity with equal respect for our varied faiths.
Many of our students and most of our faculty were raised in the Catholic faith and this foundation has a strong influence on the way we live and teach. Holy Trinity Academy is strongly supported by alumni of the former Trinidad Catholic High and Holy Trinity High School; however, HTA is not officially a Catholic school.
HTA students do attend mass, alternately, along with other Christian services; and theology, including Catholic studies, is required course material for middle school and high school ages.
Although HTA is an entirely new and independent school, many of us remain strongly connected to our roots, and we strive to bring together the best elements of all our experiences for the benefit of our students.
That’s okay. Most of our students are, but you don’t have to be. All we ask is that you abide by the school’s policies, follow simple rules, and be respectful of the beliefs of others. We firmly believe that we are all God’s children, and that everyone should be treated as such regardless of their beliefs.
It take much work to run a small school, and we wouldn’t be here if this weren’t about love. Educating a child can be a very difficult and complex process. We have seen how hard the education system can be for kids. We have seen many of our own children and
grandchildren grow up at HTA. We know the difference this has made in their lives, and we want to share this gift with as many children as we can.
